Perspective. It all depends on your point of view

Perspective

(from Latin perspicere, to see through) in the graphic arts, such as drawing, is an approximate representation, on a flat surface (such as paper), of an image as it is seen by the eye. The two most characteristic features of perspective are that objects are drawn:

  • Smaller as their distance from the observer increases
  • Foreshortened: the size of an object’s dimensions along the line of sight are relatively shorter than dimensions across the line of sight

This week we have a just for fun themed competition and that theme is Perspective! Each member can submit up to 2 Digital Images via Dropbox, eMail or by bringing them in on the night of the meeting on a memory stick. You don’t have to wait until the Thursday to send them in. Matter of fact if you send them via Dropbox or eMail after 5pm on the Thursday night they won’t be included in the competition as the laptop will have been packed away ready to take it to the club. Please name your images in the same way as you would for our Open Competition.

Everyone that comes to this Thursday’s meeting will have the chance to vote for the image they like the most and we’ll announce the winners at the end of the meeting.

So come on enter some images and join the fun.

This competition does not count towards your points in the Reflex Open Competition.
